Nigel Crockett (E Dan)

Mr Crockett runs his own business consultancy in Cambridge and, after almost eight years in the World Tang Soo Do Association, is proud to be one of the founding instructors at Cherry Hinton TSD.

Bill Halliday (E Dan)

Mr Halliday is a co-founding instructor of Cherry Hinton Tang Soo Do and began his training in July 2003. After many years of playing football in the Cambridge leagues he decided to take a very early retirement and along with a friend, entered a do Jang with a desire to learn something new and to stay fit. After he had developed a passion for the art his wife and two daughters later joined Impington TSD and they now all train and attend competitions together. Mr Halliday  gained his first Dan black belt in May 2007 and qualified as an instructor in January 2008 having spent almost two years developing his teaching techniques. He received his second Dan in 2010 and is a multiple gold medalist,  representing Great Britain at  World Championship level,

Mr Halliday has managed his own kitchen design and manufacturing business since November 2004 and is also a big fan of Liverpool football club for his sins. He is proud to be a co-instructor with Mr Crockett at Cherry Hinton TSD.

Rachel Crockett

(Assistant instructor)

Started training in Tang Soo Do in 2002, originally just to keep fit, after his daughter (aged 7 at the time) was introduced to a class and he got hooked too. Having trained under Mr Mike Allen and Mrs Lesley Allen at Impington TSD, he tested for his black belt in 2005, qualified as an instructor in 2007 and, in 2008, tested for and received his second Dan black belt. He has successfully competed in competitions at National level and has represented Great Britain at European and World Championship levels, gaining gold medals at all three levels of competition.

Miss Crockett started her Tang Soo Do training when she was only 7 years old.  She trained hard and with determination, under the instruction of Mr and Mrs Allen at Impington TSD, and achieved her black belt at the age of 11.

She has competed at Regional, National, European and World championships, gaining medals at every level, and received her second Dan black belt (E Dan) in 2009, also becoming an assistant instructor. She is a keen cricketer, playing for two teams, and enjoys playing rugby and basketball in her spare time.

All classes are taught by qualified WTSDA instructors, first-aid trained, CRB checked and insured by the British Karate Association.
